Trainee project manager (m/f/x) for intralogistics software projects (Fürstenfeldbruck/Munich/Münster)

At CIM, we’re proud to look back on over 40 years of innovation in warehouse management software, long-term customer relationships, and fair and sustainable working practices. Together, CIM’s team of 100 employees is building a successful future for our company and customers.
Are you a recent graduate or young professional looking for a challenge in the software sector? Does (the thought of) managing software implementation projects appeal to you? Are you looking for the opportunity to develop your skills, take on new responsibilities and play an active part in global intralogistics projects? Then we may have the perfect opportunity. We’re currently looking for a trainee project manager to be based initially at our headquarters in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich. The 18-month trainee provides optimal preparation for your later role as project manager for intralogistics software projects. The first 15 months will be spent working with the quality assurance team and getting to know our software inside out. Your tasks will include software testing within a scrum team, writing documentation and holding customer training courses. You’ll gradually take on conventional project management tasks with the support of a mentor, and will have the option of moving to our office in Münster after 12 months if desired.

Your tasks:

  • In the quality assurance department: software testing within a scrum team, documenting new features in the software, holding customer training courses.
  • Supporting project managers with project tasks and at on-site meetings with customers.
  • After the initial training phase, you’ll take on technical and organisational tasks as part of the project management team.
  • This includes writing clear and concise specification documents.
  • Process definition proposals for developing and enhancing our software.
  • Software configuration, testing, support and implementation of our warehouse management software

Your profile:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in logistics, industrial engineering, mathematics or similar, or alternatively an equivalent apprenticeship.
  • You are genuinely interested in logistics and have a basic understanding of software and process architecture.
  • You have an analytical mind with a step-wise approach to problem solving.
  • You enjoy working autonomously, you’re open to constructive criticism, possess excellent communication skills and have a high level of commitment.

What we offer:

  • A fair, sustainable and collaborative working environment.
  • Flexible working hours, and a challenging range and variety of tasks involving a high level of responsibility.
  • A family-owned company with a flat organisational structure.
  • An office in Munich, right next to the central railway station.
  • Hybrid and work-from-home models.
