1. PROLAG®World Basic package
Barcode evaluation in global filter field
Relevant module: Basic package
Benefits: Barcodes can be used to identify objects in the global filter field.
Description: Barcodes can be scanned in the global filter field. As a result, it is easier to perform searches and there is less need for manual intervention.
Example: A GS barcode can be scanned when entering an order.
Email distribution using STARTTLS
Relevant module: Basic package and PROLAG®Print Services (208-01)
Benefits: An SMTP server using STARTTLS (Office365 for example) can now be used for email distribution.
Description: Both PROLAG®World and Print Services (as of version 10.4) can be configured for STARTTLS in the email distribution configuration.
Order type - picking of identical articles only
Relevant module: Basic package
Benefits: Additional option for managing orders using the order type.
Description: Two new fields have been added for the order type: picking of identical articles only and overrules picking of identical articles only from delivery order. If both fields are set to active, the build picking lists for identical articles only indicator is automatically set in the delivery order (taken from the order type) when creating a delivery order for the first time.
2. Relocation/Replenishment
Logic for calculating relocation quantity in replenishment article can be configured
Relevant module: Replenishment of picking storage areas (204-02)
Benefits: Until now, the logic for calculating the relocation quantity for reservations could only be set globally using the configuration file. This extension allows the calculation logic for each replenishment article to be adjusted individually.
Description: The configuration file setting remains but the setting can be overwritten in the replenishment article.
Example: The relocation quantity should always be calculated based on the quantity required for incompletely reserved delivery items. However, specific articles should always be replenished based on a defined quantity.
3. PROLAG®Go
Printing stock labels
Relevant module: PROLAG®Go – Mobile Processes Basic Package (300-01)
Benefits: Stock labels can be printed using the mobile device processes “LU info”, “direct relocation LU” and “direct relocation stock”.
Description: Once individual stock items have been identified in the “LU info” process, a stock label can be printed by pressing the appropriate function key. Assuming that the already selected load unit holds only identical stock items (meaning stock with the same stock separation criteria), a stock label can be printed once the load unit has been selected. The identical stock items are considered to be a single stock item.
In the “direct relocation LU” and “direct relocation stock” processes, a stock label is automatically printed for the stock on the collected load unit before the destination is scanned. If there are several stock items on the load unit, the stock label is only printed if the stock items are identical. Automatic printing is possible only for articles with the relevant stock label print mode.
The stock label print mode is used to configure how many labels and in which quantities these labels are to be printed. The user can specify individual settings using the print as manually specified mode. It is also possible to configure here whether automatic stock label printing takes place for the relevant article and, if so, under which conditions.
4. Shipping
Shipments consisting of multiple packages
Relevant module: 403-01 (Packing area), 403-07 (Parcel delivery service UPS)
Benefits: It is possible to withhold printing of specific packing unit documents until the entire shipment has been packed. As a result, documents may contain previously unknown information.
When printing of packing labels is withheld for a shipment until the entire shipment has been packed, all packing unit data is transmitted jointly to UPS Worldship. This reduces UPS shipping costs.
Description: The packing area print configuration can be configured such that the packing label, packing list, GS1 label and Amazon label are not printed until the last packing unit for the shipment has been closed. In the event that neither a packing label nor a GS1 label is printed when a packing unit is closed, a packing unit label (with LU ID) is printed instead so that the packing unit can be identified and the correct shipping label applied at a later point in time. The UPS module ensures that the load unit ID is transmitted to UPS Worldship as reference 1 for shipments consisting of multiple packages. This reference is printed on the UPS label.Packing units for which not all documents have been printed have the status "wartenBisSendungGepackt” (wait until shipment packed) and cannot be loaded.
5. Production
Automatically generate batch number
Relevant module: Batch administration (205-02)
Benefits: This function can be used to enter a unique batch number by default when creating a production order (both manually and automatically). The batch number is applied to all finished parts created for the production order so that tracking is possible at all times.
Description: The preset batch field, in which an action class for automatically calculating a batch number can be specified, has been added to the bill of material definition. When an action class of this type has been specified in a bill of material, a batch number is calculated and entered in the production order for all production orders created using this bill of material. When a production order is created manually, the calculated batch number is entered by default in the finished part batch field. The user can change the preset value before saving the production order. As before, the batch number is applied to all finished parts generated for this production order.
