CIM’s success story

CIM was one of the first providers of software-controlled warehouse management, managing the first generation of automated warehouses, and we were also the first WMS provider to move to the cloud. We are successfully established in the international marketplace with our software installed in logistics centres from Qatar to Chicago. But the journey is far from over...

Fritz Mayr develops PROLAG – CIM’s original WMS

Software engineer Fritz Mayr and his start-up company develop the first UNIX-based WMS on the German-speaking market with a select team of students and programmers. The WMS is largely OS-independent and instantly demonstrates its sustainability and viability, with the first customer system remaining in operation right through to 2020 before being replaced by its successor PROLAG World.

PROLAG World is born

The advent of the PROLAG World logistics suite

The launch of the PROLAG Shipping system is the first step towards becoming an intralogistics software suite provider. A few years later, the software suite includes a WMS, production control system (PROLAG Production), automated warehouse management (PROLAG Automation), hazardous goods and materials management (PROLAG Hazmat) and transport software.

A development team is created

To achieve full standardization of the software system, an in-house development department is established at our headquarters in Fürstenfeldbruck. PROLAG World is fully configurable without requiring any further programming effort. Installation becomes simpler and faster, and customizations can be reduced to under 5% thanks to intelligent configuration options.

PROLAG World gets a new user interface (UI)

Intuitive, responsive and an optimized user experience – the new UI is first implemented for existing customers in 2019 and is very well received. New customers also benefit from the overhaul. As well as a new design, there are exciting features such as enhanced business intelligence, a dashboard for a better overview and a flexible template concept.
