Kanban - supply based on the pull principle

Using a kanban system to manage and replenish containers, PROLAG®World manages your production processes based on the pull principle.
Kanban - supply based on the pull principle

Replenishment is triggered in a timely manner when raw material supplies are running low. Individual workstations are supplied automatically for a smooth and accurate assembly process. Assembly islands and production stations are supplied with the right parts at the right times, in easy reach of the team assemblers so that they can concentrate on their key tasks. The parts for assembly are staged in barcoded containers. Depending on the speed of the assembly process, one or more containers of the relevant raw material are supplied.

Empty containers are scanned and as soon as stocks fall short of a defined minimum level, replenishment is triggered.A transport order is created for the replenishment quantity and displayed to an employee in the warehouse on their mobile device.

The replenishment stock is delivered directly to the station at which it was requested. If there are not enough parts available, the relevant parts are transported straight to the supply area for assembly the next time goods are received.

Using the VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) module, replenishment deliveries can be initiated by external suppliers.Benefits: Reduced stock levels, shorter lead times.
