PROLAG®World controls the assignment of a lorry to a specific dock at a defined delivery time.
Dock and yard management includes functions such as advance shipping notification and time slot management, assignment and removal of lorries to and from docks, lorry management, management of parking areas, ramp planning and gate allocation. A lunch break can be specified for each dock. The dock cannot be occupied during this time.
Dock and Yard Management in PROLAG®World comprises the following three components:
Dock
This template is used to create and manage docks and parking areas. You also define whether a dock can be used for receiving and/or shipping.
Dock occupancy
Transport vehicles are assigned to docks in this template. You can also specify which purchase orders or shipments are delivered or collected by specific transport vehicles. The planned delivery/collection date and time can be entered, as well as the duration of the loading or unloading process. Based on this data, a suitable transport vehicle is entered in the dock overview. Many of the processes around dock assignment can also be carried out on a mobile device.
Dock overview
The dock overview displays a graphical overview of the planned occupancy of the various docks on a specific day (the day can be selected). Free time slots are shows in green. If a dock is occupied, the time slot is shown in red and the relevant transport vehicle is entered.
