Quality assurance

Quality management serves to inspect stock at different locations in the warehouse:

  • At goods receipt
  • In the 'quality assurance' storage area
  • When the stock is picked
  • After production

Depending on the result of the inspection, the stock is either discarded or put away/returned to storage

Quality assurance
It is also possible to define inspection lot quantities in PROLAG®World. Based on the inspection lot quantities, articles are automatically sent to quality assurance after production or before putaway. A QA reason is required.
You can either select a predefined QA reason or enter your own. If items are damaged, a photo can be attached as proof of the damage. A photo or video can be linked to the relevant article for documenting and archiving purposes. 
Stock can be locked if it does not pass the quality management inspections. A whole batch can be locked if part of the batch does not comply with quality standards.
Another function is complaints management. Suppliers can be notified in real time of any defects and a replacement or refund organised as soon as possible.
The test reports (logging the results of the QA inspections) are created in separate templates depending on whether they relate to articles, stock actions or transport vehicle types. The QA test value tolerances are defined by selecting the check type and the relevant restrictions (minimum, maximum, exact value).
