Creation of CMR waybills

The CMR Convention is an international agreement relating to various legal issues concerning the carriage of goods by road, particularly with respect to the documents used for such carriage and to the carrier's liability for loss, damage or delay. The convention contains provisions regarding claims and complaints as well as the liability of successive carriers. A CMR waybill must be filled out for the international carriage of goods by road if the sender or recipient (consignee) is situation in one of the CMR member states. The CMR waybill is created in PROLAG®World according to the latest regulations and and contains all the required information relating to the shipment of the goods. The CMR waybill can be printed at the dispatch area in PROLAG®World when a transport vehicle is closed or later using the print archive functionality. All relevant information is printed by PROLAG®World on the official CMR template, ensuring that the waybill contains the required content in the correct language and complies with current regulations.

Creation of CMR waybills

The CMR Convention is an international agreement regarding the carriage of goods by road. CMR stands for for ‘Convention relative au contrat de transport international de marchandises par route’, or in English ‘Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road’. A CMR waybill must be filled out for the international carriage of goods by road if the sender or recipient (consignee) is situation in one of the CMR member states.

A CMR waybill includes the following information: Sender (name, address, country), consignee (name, address, country), place of delivery of the goods (place, country), place and date of taking over the goods (place, country, date), documents attached, marks and numbers, number of packages, method of packing, nature of the goods, statistical number, gross weight in kg, volume in m³, sender’s instructions, cash on delivery, instruction as to payment for carriage, carrier (name, address, country), successive carriers (name, address, country), carrier’s reservations and observations, payment arrangements, special agreements, place and date of establishment, signature and stamp of the sender, signature and stamp of the carrier, date of goods receipt and signature and stamp of the consignee.
