Mobile printing

This module can be used to connect your mobile Zebra Weblink printers to PROLAG®World over PROLAG®Print Services, using a mobile or wireless network. Mobile printers can be moved around the warehouse or can be worn by staff, enabling on-demand label, receipt and barcode printing. This significantly reduces travel time through the warehouse as extra steps back and forth to stationary printers are eliminated. Mobile printing is also possible in areas without wireless coverage if the printers are connected over the mobile network.
Mobile printing
The ‘Mobile printing’ module allows your warehouse staff to print labels, receipt and barcodes on demand. This significantly reduces travel time through the warehouse as extra steps back and forth to stationary printers are eliminated. Mobile Zebra Weblink printers are connected to PROLAG®World over a mobile or wireless network.

Identification of the printers and assignment of printer to picker is carried out by scanning the serial number at log-in. Once the user has logged in, the barcode on the printer is scanned. The barcode is then allocated to the serial number of the relevant device so that the printer can be clearly identified and assigned to the picker. Users enter their user name and password on the mobile device to log to CIM’s app, PROLAG®Go. A barcode is scanned in order to assign the mobile device to the user.

For additional security, it is possible to set restrictions regarding which users are allowed to work with which mobile devices.

Forms are printed in PROLAG®WORLD using our 'PrintServices' software in conjunction with JasperReports.
