Release 2021 - 3.1.7 repair orders

Technology & Innovation

PROLAG®World Production has seen significant innovation since release 3.1.7. Orders can now be marked as ‘repair orders’ in the system. Repair orders are orders in which stock (raw material items) can be used to repair other stock (finished parts) which is already available in the warehouse, and which is then put into storage as new stock. Repair orders are created manually or transferred from the host.

In practice, products leased by our customers (formwork, supports for construction sites) come back from the site and are returned to storage until leased again. In the simplest case, these products need only be cleaned using a steam cleaner. In the event or damage or missing parts, items may need to be repaired. To do this, items for repair are first stored in a special repair area. A repair order is created in PROLAG®World, after which the item for repair is taken to the specially designated area, where the material required in order to perform repair work is selected. In contrast to the conventional production process, this material must be included in the bill of materials for repair and is not selected until the repair location has been reached. The material is then requested in PROLAG®World and brought to the repair location. When work has been completed, the repaired items and the required raw materials are put back into storage.
