CIM at Logistics & Automation in Dortmund

CIM at Logistics & Automation in Dortmund
We attended year’s Logistics & Automation in Dortmund on May 24–25 to showcase the newest features of our warehouse management software PROLAG World. We also used the chance to give a group of students an exclusive insight into our corporate philosophy at CIM and what we can offer as an employer.

The team from CIM, consisting of Florian von Haxthausen, Markus Simon and Felix Bernburg, presented the latest developments in the PROLAG World intralogistics suite, with a special focus on the trend towards automation in logistics. Our PROLAG Automation solution has the ability to manage multiple automated areas within your intralogistics. Regardless of the type of automated system, PROLAG Automation manages the supply of goods to picking areas, packing areas and stacker cranes, handles goods receipt notifications, assigns storage locations, generates mixed load units, and much more. Material flows are also mapped by the system visualisation functionality, which displays a graphical representation of your storage areas so that important information can be viewed at a glance.

We additionally had the opportunity to participate in the Career Guided Tours organised by Logistics & Automation and the University of Duisburg-Essen. Around 20 students and young professionals visited our booth to get an insight into CIM GmbH as an employer and learn about our corporate philosophy. As a family-run company with a good mix of new and long-serving employees from a total of 14 nations, we offer a stable, positive working environment with a strong collaborative spirit. At CIM, we value diversity and the meeting of multiple perspectives to develop innovative solutions and achieve our goals.

The first day of the trade fair closed with the Logistics & Automation exhibitors’ evening at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. CIM and NIMMSTA spontaneously took part in a nail-biting game of table soccer. Despite being opponents in what was a heated competition, away from the soccer table we’re united by a close partnership and work together to optimise our customers’ intralogistics processes. The Freehand Scanner HS 50 by NIMMSTA can be operated using our warehouse management software PROLAG World. Scanning is now easier and faster than ever before. The robust backhand scanner with touch display is designed to integrate freehand scanning processes to make processes more safe, ergonomic and efficient.
