Wednesday, 05 February 2020 CIM GmbH’s new user interface was showcased for the first time at the customer conference and generated much lively discussion. In a combination of theory and practice, CIM GmbH and their customers took a joint look at the future of intralogistics at the start of this year. The focus was on trends and challenges facing the intralogistics sector as well as CIM’s tailored solutions. The interface for PROLAG®World, CIM’s warehouse management system, has been completely redesigned and drew much attention at the conference due to its significantly more ergonomic and intuitive approach. The first day at the Allianz Arena was all about transition, with the team at CIM GmbH presenting the company’s vision for the future and important innovations in PROLAG®World. The system’s new user interface took centre stage, its impressive simplicity and ergonomic usability giving rise to lively discussion amongst attendees. The new user interface is now available, with live demonstrations due to take place at events such as Logistics & Distribution in Dortmund, LogiMAT in Stuttgart and the Hannover Messe fair. On day two, CIM invited the Technical University of Munich to attend and hold practical workshops in which new solutions could be jointly discussed. A practical demonstration of the Barcotec HMT-1 smart glasses was also held by Robert Duchac, Business Development Manager at Barcotec GmbH, and CIM’s own Daniel Wöhr. In addition, the Technical University of Munich provided practical insights into current research projects at their experiments hall. “We wanted the conference structure to reflect our company philosophy, in that we define the direction for moving forward and then collaborate with customers to create optimum solutions”, says Daniel Wöhr, the organiser of the CIM’s customer conference. The success of this strategy has been reflected on both the project side and at the conference in the form of much positive feedback and encouragement from our customers. CIM was delighted to note that this year’s customer conference had almost twice as many visitors as last year’s conference.
