“Intelligent-Efficient-Innovative“: the LogiMAT slogan says it all in three words. In the same spirit, CIM has presented its new voice-directed pick-by-vision solution for more efficient and precise warehouse picking processes at the fair. By combining voice and vision, CIM has made it possible for users to exploit the advantages of both systems. Visitors had the opportunity to see this for themselves during live tests performed at CIM’s stand.

CIM’s PROLAG®Go application runs on the smart glasses and information is transmitted from PROLAG®World to the application. All relevant data can be displayed on the smart glasses in real time. Both employees and software can be kept up-to-date regarding the type, location and quantity of goods to be picked. Visitors were able to track changes in stock levels on the PROLAG®World dashboard while picking was performed live at the fair.

Users can instantly process the information displayed and also have a completely unhindered view of their surroundings in the warehouse. Voice-directed communication means that scanners are no longer required, with the added benefit that users have both hands free for important tasks such as picking. And if a mistake is made during the picking process, users are informed of this instantaneously. To make things even easier, pictures of articles to be picked can be shown on the glasses.

Smart glasses and sophisticated production processes attract more visitors than ever

A total of 1624 representatives from 42 countries presented their products and services in Stuttgart. Visitor numbers were higher than ever at this year’s fair, with significantly more than 60,000 home-based and international visitors. The numbers visiting CIM’s stand also jumped. In short, we can say that this year’s LogiMAT was a resounding success, all the more so given the exciting perspectives and ideas that arose in the course of many interesting and diverse exchanges.

The highest-profile topics were the smart glasses technology followed by PROLAG®World production and material flow processes. CIM’s logistics consultants were on site to show how to optimize material flows, for instance in production. Interested visitors from this industry sector can learn more about pick-by-vision and production logistics at the transport logistic trade fair scheduled to take place in Munich. CIM’s logistics experts will be on hand at stand 331/432 in hall A3 to showcase special solutions using the PROLAG®World Suite, for example in the shipping, production and material flow control sectors.
