CIM GmbH, leading supplier of warehouse management software, became a member of the Bavarian Family Pact at the start of June 2021.

Fürstenfeldbruck, June 8, 2021 – Software company CIM GmbH recently joined the Bavarian Family Pact initiative (Familienpakt Bayern), underscoring its role as a fair and family-friendly employer. CIM's support for this initiative, run by the Bavarian State Government, shows that the company is honing its capacity for technical innovation and playing an active part in shaping the workplace and workforce of the future.

“We realised earlier than most companies that family-friendly policies are key to counteracting the familiar shortage of skilled employees. Software suppliers like us are reliant on finding motivated, highly-skilled people. Every measure counts when it comes to fostering a family-friendly work culture,” says Friederike Kammann, HR manager at CIM GmbH and mother of two young children.

“Our membership of the Bavarian Family Pact is the latest step in a process that has been under way at CIM for a number of years,” adds managing director Fritz Mayr. “The transition to working from home during the coronavirus pandemic didn’t pose too much of a problem for us, since we’ve been allowing a certain degree of remote working for almost a decade now.” Flexible working hours, generous parental leave provisions and special leave for family caregivers are just some of the measures in place at CIM to improve the compatibility of career and family. What’s more, the management team or HR department are always open to discussing ways of improving work-life balance, especially for those with young families.

With its membership of the Bavarian Family Pact, CIM has taken yet another step in consolidating its position as an attractive, family-friendly employer. The company will continue in future to commit to the goals of the initiative and play an active role in reshaping the working world. Launched in 2015 by the Bavarian State Government in cooperation with the Bavarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BIHK), the Bavarian Industry Association (vbw - Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft e. V.) and the Bavarian Crafts Association (Bayerischer Handwerkstag, BHT), the goal of the Bavarian Family Pact is to raise awareness of the need for a healthy balance between family life and work. It provides employers in Bavaria with new impetus, specialised information and practical assistance to help them make their workplaces more family-friendly. The Family Pact also offers a platform for networking with other companies and exchanging ideas about specific measures.
