Release notes 3.0.3

1. Shipping

Packing area - convert LU to packing unit when 'pack whole shipment' option is active

Relevant module: Packing area 403-01

Benefits:

This new feature optimises and accelerates processes at the packing area when there are multiple picking cartons for the same shipment at the packing area and no further repacking is required.

Description:

As soon as all selected stock is located in the same picking carton (load unit), the ‘convert LU to packing unit’ button in the packing area template can be used (even though the ‘pack whole shipment’ option has been set).

Example:

There are 4 picking cartons (type ‘carton’) at the packing area for a specific shipment (the 'pack whole shipment' option is active).

This type of carton can be used for shipping. Each LU (carton) can now be converted to a packing unit (PU) without having to create a new PU and add the stock again. This generates 4 PUs (type ‘carton’), which can then be closed.

2. Automated storage

Late cancellation

Relevant module: Late reset of delivery orders/delivery items (203-12)

Benefits:
You can use the late cancellation function to cancel or stop shipments and delivery orders that are already en route on a conveyor system.

Description:
When an employee initiates actions such as ‘reset order’ or ‘late reset’, the relevant shipment or delivery order is marked in the system and stopped at a suitable point in its journey on the conveyor. Once the last of a shipment’s containers has reached the designated point and/or has been removed, the shipment can be stopped in the system.

Example:
A customer cancels their order. The goods have already been removed from storage in PROLAG®World and are en route on the conveyor. The late cancellation function can be used to stop the goods and put them back into storage.
