Release notes 3.0.6

1. Goods issue

Fast packing area - extension for article outer packagings that are ready for shipping

Relevant module: Article ready for shipping (205-33_1)

Benefits: Thanks to this extension, it is no longer necessary for entire article outer packagings that are ready for shipping to be skipped at the packing area.  This means enhanced security and better process control.

Description: When picking entire article outer packagings that are ready for shipping, there are two cases to take into consideration:
1. Previously: Lists that are ready for shipping are generated. Shipping labels are printed immediately. The packing area is skipped.2. New: Lists that are not ready for shipping are generated for all entire article outer packagings that are ready for shipping. Article outer packagings are automatically split at the packing area and packed straightaway.

Retrieval control - no packing until all items are at the packing area

Relevant module: Retrieval control (203-04)

Benefits: Users cannot begin packing until all required goods are available. As soon as all goods are available, users process one load unit after another.

Description: The function “No packing until all items are at the packing area" differs from the function "Pack entire shipments" in that users must process load units one after the other and they do not see all goods for all load units at the packing area.

Example: The shipment consists of two lists with articles A and B. The list with article A is ready to be packed. When users attempt to pack article A, a message appears informing them that article B is still missing and cannot be packed yet.

2. PROLAG®Go

Document loading photos

Relevant module: PROLAG®Go - photo function at dispatch area (305-16)

Benefits: You can use photos to document the condition of the lorry / the load in the lorry at the time of its departure for delivery to the customer should the need arise. Photo documentation means more security for users and is a useful verification tool.

Description: PROLAG®Go’s loading process now includes an option for using the mobile device to take photos of goods in the lorry. The photo functionality is activated using the function key “F8 = take photo”. The photos are appended to the freight list in the form of an image pool and saved in a directory configured by the user. The image pool is moved to the freight list history when the freight list history is generated. When the freight list history is deleted, both the image pool and the files saved in the directory are deleted.

Example: You deliver goods to one of your customers. No complaint is made at the time of delivery but the customer subsequently submits a complaint stating that the packaging was defective on delivery. You can use the photos you have saved to verify the condition of the goods at the time of their departure for delivery.
