  • during pre-packing on the mobile device using the menu item "pre-pack".

Reduced retrieval: Rebook and lock stock

Relevant module: PROLAG®World Basic package goods receipt 100)

Benefits: It is now possible to lock and, if necessary, relocate shortage items for a reduced retrieval by specifying a lock reason.

Description: It is now possible (through the appropriate configuration settings) to lock the shortage items for a reduced retrieval and specify a lock reason. Lock reasons can only be selected if the 'for reduced retrieval' flag is set. If the selected lock reason contains a 'destination storage group for reduced retrieval' and by association a 'target load unit type for reduced retrieval', the shortage items are locked and relocated to the specified storage group using a load unit of the specified type. If no storage group is specified, the stock is only locked.

3. Shipping

Distribution of one piece across multiple packing units

Relevant module: Packing area (403-01)

Benefits: One piece from a large stock unit can be distributed across multiple packing units.

Description: If there is a piece of a stock unit which is too large or heavy for a packing unit, it can be divided into 0.x pieces and packed in multiple packing units at the packing area.

Prerequisite:

  • The following checkbox is enabled for the article: "distribution of one piece across several packing units allowed".
  • The unit of quantity of the article must be a count unit.
  • The factor of the counting unit must be one (1).

The employee selects the single piece at the packing area, sets the "pack equally" checkbox and enters the number of packing units and the type. This means that the packing units contain 0.x pieces, rounded to one (1) decimal place, and the remaining quantity is booked to the last packing unit so that the total amounts to exactly one (1) piece. The packing units cannot be closed automatically, but need to be closed individually after entering the weight of each unit.

Example: A large machine is produced for a customer and is stored in PROLAG®World as one stock unit containing one piece. For shipping, however, the machine motor and other assemblable parts are packed and shipped in separate packing units. The packing units are weighed and get their own shipping papers.

4. PROLAG®Go Mobile Processes

Picking station dialog: scan destination location and skip consolidation using F-key

Relevant module: Picking with restorage (303-09)

Benefits: Employees can now skip consolidation.

Description: Using the F-keys, employees can now skip consolidation in the picking station dialog.

Example: A picker at the picking station wishes to skip setdown at the destination location since they do not want to set down at consolidation.
