Release notes 3.1.11

1. PROLAG®World Basic

Putaway of locked goods

Relevant module: Basic package 100-01

Benefits: Using the PO item and goods receipt item, it is now possible to specify that stock must be put into storage as locked stock. A lock reason can also be specified.

Description: In the event that the ‘locked’ field is set in the PO item, this value is applied to the goods receipt item and the stock is put into storage as locked stock.
Locks can be applied individually to each goods receipt item associated with a PO item at the goods receipt office, assuming that the PO item has not already specified that the stock is locked.
Should stock be put into storage as locked stock, a lock reason can be specified. In the ‘lock reasons’ template, users can enter lock reasons which then appear for selection.

Locks and lock reasons can also be applied at the I-point, provided that they have not already been specified by the PO item or goods receipt item.
If already specified, the values cannot be changed at the I-point.
This feature is available at the mobile I-point as of standard 3.2.1.

Example: A PO item specifies a lock (not the lock reason) and the ‘locked’ field is also applied to the associated goods receipt item. The lock cannot be changed at the I-point. However, a lock reason can be entered.

2. PROLAG®Go Mobile Processes

Number of barcodes for scanning can be configured

Relevant module:
PROLAG®Go - Mobile I-point (302-03_01)
PROLAG®Go - Goods entry at storage location (302-01)
Barcode-supported putaway of whole delivery units based on GS1 standard (202-04)

Benefits: Faster goods entry at location as fewer clicks are required.

Description: Until now, the “scan barcode” query always appeared 4 times when barcode scanning was active at the mobile I-point (scheduled/unscheduled) and for goods entry at the storage location (scheduled/unscheduled) because up to 4 barcodes can be printed on a GS1 label.
Users had to specifically press “quit” each time if they wanted or were able to scan fewer than 4 barcodes (for example because the stock had only one barcode).
However, it was possible to configure supplier settings so that scanning could automatically be ended prematurely for specific suppliers after 1-3 barcodes.
The supplier can only be identified if a barcode with the format (00)-SSCC is scanned as the SSCC contains the GLN base number, based on which suppliers can be clearly identified.
Suppliers cannot be identified if a barcode with the format (01) or (02)-GTIN is scanned.
It is now possible to configure projects so that the process automatically moves on after scanning 1-3 barcodes even if no supplier has been identified while scanning the code. As a result, no time is wasted pressing “quit” in cases where only one GTIN needs to be scanned, for example when entering vast quantities of stock items for the first time at the start of a project.

3. Transport

Transport trolley is collecting LU

Relevant module:
Management of collecting LUs 403-18
Retrieval and relocation with transport trolley 303-16
Benefits:
A transport trolley can be sent directly to dispatch using the mobile device process when the trolley is being set down at the (automated system) packing area. It is not necessary to scan individual packing units.

Description: With the appropriate configuration (see transport trolley is collecting LU), the transport trolley (once picking has been completed, i.e. the picking load units on the transport trolley) turns into a collecting LU with the identical LU ID after being set down at the packing area. The picked load units on the collecting LU become packing units.

Controlling generation of packing units for automatic packing

Relevant module: Management of collecting LUs 403-18

Description: A switch (see transport trolley is collecting LU) can be used to control whether packing units are generated at the dispatch area (DEFAULT) during automated packing, or at the current location (set down location).
