Releasenotes 3.2.9

1. PROLAG WMS

Additional function in 205-07 Expiry date management; 206-01 Quality management

Benefits:
When using the scheduled task ‘check expiry date remaining time (MHD Restlaufzeit WA prüfen)’, it is possible to decide whether stock for which the expiry date will soon be reached should simply be locked (as has been the case until now) or locked for QA.

Description:
Three control parameters have been added to the scheduled task ‘check expiry date remaining time (MHD Restlaufzeit WA prüfen)’. You can determine whether stock is simply locked or locked for QA. If locked for QA, parameter 2 must be used to specify an existing QA reason. Parameter 3 is optional and determines whether in the event of a QA lock only stock that is not already locked for QA should be locked or whether stock locked for QA and with a different QA reason should be changed so that the expiry date QA reason applies.

2. Mobile processes

Visualisation of tray shelves

Relevant module: PROLAG Go - rebook all lists 303-18

Benefits:
Simplified picking process for multiple lists for one individual order from the shelf on which they are currently located to a common destination.

Description:
All lists associated with a shelf can be rebooked to a common destination using the mobile device.

The following criteria must be met in order to do so:

  • The shelf must contain stock.
  • The separation criteria for stock on the shelf must be identical.
  • Stock on the shelf must be reserved for the same delivery order.
  • The transport type of the transport orders must be AUSB (OUTB).
  • Lists must have a status lower than transport.
  • Lists must not have been printed.
  • Lists are not allowed to pass through consolidation.
  • The destination for the lists must be identical.
  • Lists must have a load unit type allocation that allows them to be collected.
  • Other mobile devices are not allowed to be processing the lists.
  • The picking area must be one of the picking areas allowed for the mobile device.
  • The destination picking area must be one of the allowed destination picking areas for the mobile device.
  • The retrieval control must allow the 'rebook all lists’ function.

A source location that meets the above criteria is scanned and the associated lists are collected. The destination location is scanned and the load units are booked from the source location to the destination location. The lists are then free again and a message appears indicating how many load units have been booked from the source location to the destination location.

3. PROLAG shipping

Open additional PDFs at the packing area

Relevant module: Production 40X

Benefits:
PDFs can be opened directly at the packing area without being printed

Description:
If additional texts are available for a production order, they are displayed for selection in the upper section of the packing area template. The shortcut [CTRL]+mouse click can be used to select several PDFs, followed by the "open selection” button to open each PDF in a new browser tab.

Customs clearance via external customs system

Relevant module: Pre-packing 403-01_1

Benefits:
Should an external customs system be used for customs clearance, shipments can be placed in a special customs storage area until all customs data and documents are ready to be submitted.

Description:
The ’customs declaration required’ option is applied to orders requiring customs clearance. This is a criterion for shipment generation. The ’pre-packing’ option must be applied to orders requiring customs clearance at their creation. The option is applied automatically on import via the interface.

Stock for shipments that are subject to customs duty must be stored in a special customs storage area. The ‘customs warehouse’ option has been added to the storage area for this purpose. The PROLAG Go - pre-packing process allows orders requiring customs clearance to be placed only in storage areas to which the ‘customs warehouse’ option has been applied. A separate message appears on mobile devices to inform users that the pre-packed stock belongs to an order requiring customs clearance.

Once the external customs system has completed customs clearance, a message to this effect is sent to the system via the host interface. Notification can take place at the order level by means of the order number (record type auftragVorverpackenBeenden (end order pre-packing)) or at the shipment level by means of the shipment number (record type sendungVorverpackenBeenden (end shipment pre-packing)). The data record applies to all orders for the relevant shipment as customs duties are always applied to entire shipments. The data record must include the customs master reference number (MRN) and the customs invoice number. Both numbers are entered in all orders for this shipment. In addition, shipment pre-packing is ended.
Pre-packing of customs shipments is usually ended at the host interface. However, it is possible to end pre-packing by means of a template action in the order control centre should there be problems at the interface. The customs master reference number (MRN) and the customs invoice number must first be entered manually in all the shipment’s orders. The scheduled task "check pre-packed packing units" skips packing units for customs shipments. If both numbers have not been entered in all orders, pre-packing can never be ended for the relevant customs shipments.

The delivery note or full packing list for a shipment is usually printed at the packing area. For customs shipments, they are printed when pre-packing is ended. This means that numbers entered in the orders during the customs clearance process can also be printed.

In addition, the following changes have been made to the pre-packing process:

  • The order type can now be used to determine that an order is pre-packed.
  • For orders that do not require customs clearance, pre-packed packing units can only be put into storage areas with the “is storage area for pre-packing” option.
  • If there is a virtual staging zone in the dispatch area definition for the shipment’s retrieval control, this zone serves as the destination for the lists associated with the shipment’s packing units. When pre-packing is ended, a real staging zone is entered as the destination.

4. Automatic warehouse control

Action following 'from auto' telegram

Relevant module: Material flow controller 705-01

Benefits:
Actions to be performed as soon as a telegram is processed by the automated warehouse can be specified in the reporting point.

Description:
An action class is now available for converting a transport load unit to a packing unit when the relevant telegram has been processed at the reporting point.

Example:
The shipping label is supposed to be printed and automatically applied at a specific reporting point. The transport load unit must first be converted into a packing unit and closed so that printing can be initiated.
