Gebrüder Limmert AG, a leading wholesale electronics distributor based in Austria, has sustainably optimized its logistics processes by implementing PROLAG World with seamless integration of AutoStore.

Embracing digitalization in warehouse, production and store management processes not only enables greater efficiency but also provides a future-proof foundation for further growth. Headquartered in Salzburg, Limmert is one of Austria's leading wholesale electrical distributors. The company offers its customers a comprehensive range of electrical goods and electronic equipment, including installation materials, cables, lighting and household appliances.

Seamless integration for optimized processes

Integrating PROLAG World with the AutoStore system enabled Limmert to achieve significant improvements in their warehouse processes. Extended storage capacities through the creation of additional storage locations, combined with faster goods-to-person picking, has greatly boosted efficiency and delivery reliability. The unified IT landscape provided by PROLAG World seamlessly integrates all relevant processes, allowing for centralized monitoring. This not only saves time but also reduces the complexity involved in managing warehouse and transport processes.

AutoStore was implemented within a new 800 m² facility and is directly connected to the main warehouse via a conveyor system. This system automatically transports goods to the AutoStore storage ports for putaway and delivers retrieved items to the packing areas, streamlining the workflow.

Automatic tour planning and shipping tour creation

A standout feature of PROLAG World at Limmert is its automatic tour planning and shipping tour creation. Upon receiving a tour query from the host system, PROLAG World automatically suggests the optimal shipping tour by considering key parameters such as delivery address, shipping method, and the weight of packing units. To ensure timely deliveries, the system also factors in customer opening hours and the maximum allowed duration of the shipping tour. This approach enables optimal utilization of transport vehicles while ensuring delivery deadlines are met.

Benefit: Manual planning of shipping tours is no longer required as PROLAG World automatically optimizes tour planning and maximizes loading capacities.

Seamless tracking of goods delivery

In addition to warehouse management, PROLAG World also optimizes goods delivery. With PROLAG Go, the entire flow of goods is tracked seamlessly after loading – ranging from the delivery of packing units to the customer to returns pick-up and the collection of empty containers. Incidents and clarification cases are also transparently documented.


Benefit: A separate transport management system and complex interface connections are not required, since the entire flow of goods can be mapped in PROLAG World.
