The most important features at a glance

1) Integrated serial number scanning at goods receipt

Serial number management is a key feature in PROLAG World and can be integrated into wide range of processes, from goods receipt to shipping. This means that serial numbers can be entered, generated and tracked across all storage areas, enabling maximum transparency and traceability. In the new release, you can now transfer complete serial number pools for an article directly from your ERP system and use them for goods receipt. PROLAG World automatically assigns the transferred serial numbers to the correct articles and simultaneously captures all relevant article data including the received quantity – with just one scan. This streamlined configuration makes for a faster and more intuitive goods receipt process for items with serial numbers.

2) Fast and efficient retrieval of large quantities of individual pieces

PROLAG World is used across a wide range of industries, each with its own specific requirements. A common scenario in sectors such as textiles and e-commerce is the retrieval of load units containing large quantities of individual articles. The challenge in this case is to retrieve the full load unit while still picking the goods as individual pieces. In the textile industry, for example, this could involve 300 pairs of socks that are shipped together but need to be recorded in the system as separate delivery items.

With the new “Convert all stock to delivery items” function, this process can now be handled quickly, accurately and efficiently. During the order picking process, there’s no need to scan or pick each item individually. Instead, at the touch of a button, all goods on the load unit can be automatically converted into individual delivery items and transported immediately. This ensures fast and efficient goods issue in PROLAG World, even when dealing with large volumes of individual pieces.

3) Checking of hazardous goods labeling at the packing area

There are strict legal requirements and guidelines for handling hazardous goods and materials in intralogistics, and PROLAG World fully complies with all of them. With the latest release, PROLAG World offers an organizational check for hazardous goods labeling at the packing area, ensuring that all shipments are properly labeled before dispatch. The step for verifying hazardous goods labeling is optional, and the data must be confirmed manually before the packing unit is marked as ready for shipment. This check ensures that hazardous goods are not only correctly labeled according to legal standards but also meet company-specific or article-specific safety requirements.

4) New maintenance function – Why is list waiting?

If things are taking longer than expected, you can now use PROLAG World to check where the problem lies. When a picking list is not prioritized or proposed for processing, it can be unclear what’s holding it back. To solve this, PROLAG World now includes a helpful diagnostic tool: "Why is list waiting?" Users can access clear, concise information about the current status of the picking list including why it’s on hold. By delivering this information quickly and seamlessly, PROLAG World empowers users to take immediate action, resolve issues efficiently and maintain uninterrupted warehouse operations. In combination with the PROLAG World dashboard, all relevant information on waiting lists can be viewed at a glance.

5) Enhanced security with PROLAG World

Security is the invisible foundation of every reliable software solution – and with this release, we’ve made PROLAG World even more robust. All libraries have been updated to the latest versions. The result? A significant boost in system security behind the scenes and a basis for future-ready functionality. Our customers benefit not only from dependable and secure warehouse operations, but also from continuous innovations and enhancements.
