Four decades of CIM: A wonderful evening of community and celebration

CIM celebrated a very special event last week: the company’s 40th anniversary. Around 160 employees gathered with their families and long-time companions in the historic event rooms of the Fürstenfeld Abbey to commemorate four decades of company history – a chance to look back on what has been achieved, what has moved us and what has united us.

An evening focused on community, reflection on the past and optimism for the future

The historic setting of the former Cistercian Abbey provided the perfect backdrop for a night filled with laughter, music and togetherness. Besides the delicious food and great conversation, the spotlight was firmly on the people who have shaped CIM – from its beginnings right up to the present day.

CEOs Friederike Kammann and Hannelore Mayr opened the official part of the evening’s program. Their speeches not only honoured the company's history, but also paid tribute to the many employees who have helped to shape and support CIM over the years. They also spoke about the generational transition in the company that was completed last year – an important milestone aimed at building on the strong foundation of experience and innovation while setting the course for further expansion in the future.

Fond memories from the early days

The evening continued on a very personal note when Fritz Mayr, co-founder of CIM, gave an entertaining account of the company’s early years. From the first software developments on mainframe systems or the transformation from classic warehouse management system to flexible WMS solution, his anecdotes offered a humorous glimpse into CIM’s evolution from a pioneer in the 1980s to an established provider of modern warehouse management software.

Long service awards

Another highlight of the evening was the honouring of several team members for their many years of service to the company. Among them was a colleague who has been at CIM for an incredible 35 years. Others were thanked for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service and were all given a well-deserved round of applause. These tributes reflect the core values of loyalty, trust and continuity that have defined CIM right from the start.

An evening of appreciation for past, present and future
In addition to the official program, the evening offered plenty of opportunity for socializing: guests celebrated late into the night with good food, a stylish setting and engaging conversation. It was a chance to reflect on shared experiences, celebrate achievements and look ahead to the future. Once again, it was clear what sets us apart at CIM: a strong sense of togetherness, passion for what we do and the drive to keep evolving.
