CIM GmbH sees the repeated successful validation of its warehouse management system PROLAG World by the Fraunhofer IML as a strong testament to its ongoing innovative power and market leadership. The latest system enhancements, with a focus on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, ergonomics and resource planning, underline our commitment to staying at the forefront of logistics technology trends and to meeting the evolving demands of the industry.
Key aspects of the validation:
Comprehensive questionnaire
The validation is based on an extensive questionnaire comprising over 3,500 criteria, which is regularly updated to reflect the latest industry standards and best practices. The questionnaire is aligned with VDI Guideline 3601, which defines the task and performance areas of a WMS.
Functionality testing
The criteria cover all core logistics processes: Goods receipt and goods issue, internal warehouse processes with additional functions such as cross-docking, weight control, package optimization and handling unit management. Archiving functions, consolidation support and quality checks are also included.
Presentation and verification of evidence
Fraunhofer IML reviews the submitted information and requests any evidence required to verify it. The provider either demonstrates the system live or through a WMS reference project, and the functionality is compared with the information supplied.
Quality seal and visibility
After successful testing, the WMS is awarded the Fraunhofer validation seal and listed in the Logistics IT Database – one of the most comprehensive platforms in the world for comparing the functionality of different WMS solutions.
Alexander Wenzel, logistics consultant at CIM, comments:
“The renewed validation by Fraunhofer IML confirms the exceptional performance and innovative power of PROLAG World. Our latest developments in AI, ergonomics and resource planning allow our customers the full benefits of a modern, future-proof WMS solution.”
